***PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW OVER. A WINNER WAS CHOSEN THIS MORNING***
The third (and last) giveaway of the year. I have so many stamped embroidery projects that I've decided to part with some of them. Look for a few on my website next month or take a chance on winning one now.
This is a set of two matching 1940s-50s Bucilla towels to be embroidered. They're a 60% linen 40% cotton blend and have beaded top and bottom edges. The motifs are three circular wreaths of flowers with smaller flowers grouped on the sides. You'll be able to practice stem/outline, lazy daisy, straight stitch and French knots. Included is the original sheet of instructions with color choices and stitch directions. You'll be supplying your own embroidery floss so you can change those colors if you like. And don't be concerned with the small amount of surface dirt—it will wash out after you complete the embroidery. Don't do it before as the stamping may wash out.
Here are some close ups of the flowers:
This may not be the best project for a beginner because it's small scale but if you've been following along with Stitch School you'll have no trouble at all. If you'd like to try embroidery and win this you can always set it aside until you've practiced a little. No special requirements this time—just leave a comment telling me why you like embroidery or why you think you should be the winner. Do this by midnight tomorrow and I'll choose a winner on Wednesday morning. Good luck!
