The third (and last) giveaway of the year. I have so many stamped embroidery projects that I've decided to part with some of them. Look for a few on my website next month or take a chance on winning one now.

This is a set of two matching 1940s-50s Bucilla towels to be embroidered. They're a 60% linen 40% cotton blend and have beaded top and bottom edges. The motifs are three circular wreaths of flowers with smaller flowers grouped on the sides. You'll be able to practice stem/outline, lazy daisy, straight stitch and French knots. Included is the original sheet of instructions with color choices and stitch directions. You'll be supplying your own embroidery floss so you can change those colors if you like. And don't be concerned with the small amount of surface dirt—it will wash out after you complete the embroidery. Don't do it before as the stamping may wash out.
Here are some close ups of the flowers:

This may not be the best project for a beginner because it's small scale but if you've been following along with Stitch School you'll have no trouble at all. If you'd like to try embroidery and win this you can always set it aside until you've practiced a little. No special requirements this time—just leave a comment telling me why you like embroidery or why you think you should be the winner. Do this by midnight tomorrow and I'll choose a winner on Wednesday morning. Good luck!

Pick me, pick me. I love your work and read your blog for updates almost daily. I'm working towards setting up my own Etsy store but need to practice and come up with some of my own ideas.

Too cute! Will random generator EVER pick #1??
I'd love to win! I just found your site and am using your instructions to embroider our names on our Christmas stockings, and I've found that I love embroidery! I can't wait to try more. Thanks for your great, tutorials!
Oh that's gorgeous! I love embroidery, it's how I spend my alone time after a long day. It's so easy to get lost between the stitches.

Ooh...thanks for the chance! I'd love to win these. My mother taught me to embroider when I was very little--a carrot she'd drawn on burlap for me. Now I'm teaching the children in my early childhood program (even the not-yet-two-year-old is doing it and loving it) and re-learning myself. :-) Lise
Enter me!!!!
I would love to add them to my collection.

I absolutely love embroidery - My Grandma taught me her skills over forty years ago and it is my way of feeling connected to her and her memory. I love embroidery because you can be so creative with it - draw your own pictures, use your children's drawings or purchase patterns to your liking. Your choice of color is limited only by your imagination. It is a relaxing hobby. Hope I am lucky to win your embroidery patterns.
That is just beautiful! I would love to embroider those and hang them in my kitchen.
I'm new to your blog but have ordered from your shop before. I love all the great tutorials you have here!
Thanks for doing this giveaway!
oh I do hope you pick me, those are gorgeous!! Thanks for the try :)
I have just discovered your blog and love it! I have been doing embroidery since I was a teenager putting peace signs on my blue jeans. I would love to make up those towels to give to my daughter-in-law.
So cute! I hope I win! I love embroidery...it was the first 'craft' I ever learned to do. I started when i was 8 years old. And since I have 2 small kids, its a good hobby for me to do while they play in the living room.
I got into embroidery when I was a pre-teen as a way to while away the time I spent with my maternal grandmother during summers. It became something I did with my grandmother until her hands could not comfortably hold a needle any more. She now paints printed embroidery pattens with Artex paints whenever her hands will allow. I don't embroider as much as I used to because of my work and school now. If I won these I would give one to my grandmother with instructions to paint it as she likes. I would embroider the other one and then we would swap them with each other. :)
I'm new to your blog and I'm new to needlepoint and you've gotten me so inspired with the thought of that little towel being so beautifully loved by little flowers and wreaths all over it. I'd love to be the winner!
I am still a beginner, but would love to have these as a reward for all my practicing to do later on. I love your stitch school and use that along with a 1970's? Kids clothes book I got from a library sale. Your site has helped me interpret what they are talking about.
Thanks
Ronda
I love vintage embroidery so please pick me!

Me me me! I'd love to give these a try. I've been practicing my embroidery :)
I love embroidery, it is so removed from my work day which is all about policy and planning. I love that I have something tangible to show for my efforts, that it is original and shows that I can be creative. I have not thought to embroider towels before and they would make a lovely statement in my bathroom.
I just started to embroider. I would love these!
Thanks
I love your site and would love to have these!
lurker no more!

My mother taught me how to embroider when I was 10 years old. I would sit beside her and we would embroider together. I have the first apron that she made. It has embroidered tea pots on it. Now, every time I look at it, or embroider, I think of her. Your towels are lovely, and I would like a chance to win them. I read your blog daily. You are so inspiring. Thank you.
Even if I don't win, I had to share when I saw this post. Your stitch school is teaching me to embroider. I am embroidering my wedding canopy. I was home for Thanksgiving and my mom has kitchen towels she embroidered as a girl. They were a gift to her grandmother, who didn't use them. Her mother saved them, and when her mother passed away my mom found them in the chest. One for each day of the week--they've lasted for 50 years and been used for at least 25 (one day at a time). Somehow the stamping is even still visible on some of them despite lots of washing.
I would love to win this. I do embroidery on public transportation to work. Embroidery projects are great transit projects, because they are light and easy to carry and they doesn't require counting like many knitting patterns do. So I am saving the environment by not driving to work, while at the same time making progress on various crafting projects.

Oh, it reminds me of my vintage Corning Ware. I am addicted to hand made wares. I found a few of these kits at a yard sale, but this pattern is way cute! I would love to have a new project.
I love embroidery because my mother taught my 4 sisters and I to do it when we were children. We all shared a large tin of embroidery floss, in which the floss was wound around old wooden thread spools. (My method to this day.) I still have one of the remains of a pillowcase I made for her when I was in the 5th grade, it's the banner for my blog.
I would love to win your lovely stamped embroideries, thank you for adding my name to the contest.
I make embroidered towels for the homeless shelter near my home to sell, the profits help them out. If I win I will embroider them and donate them to the homeless shelter.
Merry
Learning embroidery is one of my New Years Resolutions! I would love pass this amazing art on to my daughters someday.
Why I like embroidery.
I share this hobby with my mom. When my mom was a girl, they embroidered, quilted, etc. to entertain themselves in the evening. I have embroidered works done by each, my grandma and my grandpa. I embroidered a bit as a teen. When my daughter was in 1st grade, I used Jacqueline Enthoven's book 'Teaching Children How to Embroider' for project ideas for my kids. The neatest part is she shows works of children of all ages even as young as three years old. Nowadays I embroider a lot. All this, plus maturity has made me relax and be free thinking when it comes to embroidery. I could go on but, I won't.
They are beautifl and I want them. So make sure the generator picks me up :)
Correction. The book's title is 'Stitchery for Children' by Jacqueline Enthoven.
so pretty! can i enter please?
Sorry k.casey but you're too late. I've already chosen a winner and I should have the post up in a couple of minutes.
My 83 year old aunt has beautiful hand work. I would love to give her the towels to make as a memento from her. She loves the older stamped designs. I find projects to keep her busy since she is more frail than before. In the 50's my grandmother (her mother) was teaching me embroidery using the stamped towels. What a "circle of life."
