hearts

4 heart sachets

I'm cutting it close for Valentine's Day but, now that my camera is back (yay!), I spent most of yesterday photographing products and have added a batch of heart-shaped sachets to my website. You can see four of them in the picture above. The one shown below is going to go to the lucky winner of my next giveaway! Leave a comment and I'll chose a winner on Sunday morning. If you get back to me in time with your mailing address, I'll get your sachet into the mail on Monday and you might even receive it in time for the holiday.

heart sachet
A recycled section of embroidered (pretty stitches!) towel with crocheted edging layered over a new pink stripe cotton and accented with a pink and white vintage button stack. Stuffed full with lavender and buckwheat hulls.

Look for more handkerchief sachets later today, and lots more buttons next week.

Congratulations on getting your camera back. I always look forward to seeing what you have created next. I absolutely LOVE your sachets. I gave some to my sisters too, and they loved them. You are so very talented.

Your hearts are so sweet! Enter me I would be so excited to win. I just saw some bags of hankies at the thrift store yesterday I can't believe I left them there. I'll have to go back today and pick them up!!!

Thanks for all your inspiration!

Ferne, you should never leave bags of hankies! There are so many cool things you can do with them, even if they're slightly damaged and only have a good corner or two to work with.

I just discovered your blog and I love, love, love those little hearts! What a great idea! We have an old-fashioned dime store nearby that carries embroidered hankies and I'm going to go get some and give this a try. Thanks for the great idea and the giveaway.

I would be lost without my camera...so I understand!
Love these hearts! Such a creative way to use the hankies - especially the ones that may have a little weak place in the fabric.
Have you ever done a Hanky Quilt like those of Cindy Brick?
Thanks for hosting this giveaway.

The heart sachets are so cute. When I was a little girl, my grandmother taught me how to embroider. Seeing the pink heart brought back happy memories.

I love the sachets. Hankies are about my favorite "textile" and I think you use them beautifully in your work!
