another giveaway

***Giveaway is now closed to new participants. I'll be announcing the winner in a few minutes!***

This time I'm giving away a holiday-themed zippered bag. It's made from a pretty poinsettia print fabric with black background and metallic gold accents tracing the leaves, berries, pinecones, etc. It has a red zipper and is lined with red and white polka dot fabric (love those polka dots!)

Like last time, this giveaway is open to everyone since I can ship it cheaply. Although you may not receive it in time for Christmas depending on where you live. I almost want to say that for those of you in the U.S., too - things have been taking a really long time to arrive at their destinations. Nine days from Pennsylvania to Florida for some embroidery patterns is a bit extreme (Eunice, I hope they arrived today!)

So, leave a comment. Tell me if you're ready for the holidays yet or if you're one of those last-minute shoppers, tree trimmers, cookie bakers. I'll choose a winner on Monday evening.

And if anyone knows how to reach Nanci, our previous winner, please let her know that she won the snowflake cozy. She hasn't claimed it yet and I haven't been able to reach her.

I love how you put the zipper in this. I thought your buttons were good, but your zippers are even better.

The polka-dot lining is fabulous! I've tried gingham lining too, it's not as good as polka-dots though.

How did you find good poinsettia fabric? There hasn't been any around here for ages.

Glad you're enjoying the season through creativity!

Very pretty zipper bag! I'm not ready for Christmas yet - I'm still sewing gifts, and haven't even started baking, lol. Last month I mailed a parcel from Ontario to Alabama - it took 24 days to arrive. A parcel I mailed from Ontario to Germany on the same day took FIVE days to arrive. Go figure!

I'm almost ready for Christmas. I just have a CQ purse to finish for MIL. Her eyes are not very good, so I've had to do it in really brightly coloured threads, with plenty of beads and different textures. It's very 'bling' but I know she'll love it. It's wonderful making things for other people, isn't it?

Pretty bag. I'm ready, except for sending my son's gift; but since he is getting funds by e-transfer, it will only take a moment. Oh, and buy a gift cert for hubby!

I love polka dots, too! I keep trying to get the Christmas stuff done but it is slow going...hubby not feeling too well & this may be the first time we won't have the lights on the house. No tree yet, but I got some decorations up...I just love my vintage & handmade ornaments/decorations...been donating the plastic, '80s, and not cute Hallmark ornaments - I really want to stick with vintage 40s-50s. Right now I am looking at two cute little stockings made with old quilts that I bought recently at a boutique.
I've been sewing some things for gifts, and baking cookies, but yikes is it really only one week left?!

I am ready for the holidays! I bakes cookies again today. The decorating is done, the cards are mailed. I just need to wrap a couple gifts this week and take off a week from Mon to see the family!! Yipee!!!

I love polka dots, especially when it's in the lining. It just gives it that lovely dotty feel.

For the first time in yonks, I've sent all the xmas cards, done all my xmas shopping, all presents are wrapped and in bags to hand out to people and it's not even a week till xmas :)
All that's missing is the "sending out of xmas presents in the mail" which I will do this week.

Wow, that was a long comment :)

usually at this time of year, I am ready for the holidays however with hubby going to Central America this year to visit his mother and siblings (I have to work) I am not ready money wise nor decorating wise... I expect Christmas this year will be small and simple, due to the economy and trying to get bills paid.

Please add me to your drawing for that very pretty zipper bag.

This year I'm running a little late with my shopping. But I only have one left to get for my 9year old neice. I hope to pick up this week.

I'm using some vacation time this year to be off work from Dec 21 - Jan. 1. My company gives us Christmas Day & New Years off. There are 3 holidays during the year that we work but the company gives them to us at the christmas holidays so we get a weeks break at christmas.

So this year I'm arranging to have a 2 week break at christmas. I'm so looking forward to the holiday rest & then a couple small house projest to place.

Have nice Holiday Season. Merry Christmas.
