morning glory

The title of this post is also the variety of morning glory this is. The color is really a bit deeper and prettier—hard to capture digitally. And it only appears for one day; on the second they turn purple (see that shriveled up flower at the top left of the picture). I planted these in June and they're just starting to come into full flower now. In October, and after we've had frost two mornings in a row. Go figure.

How pretty! I had morning glories and moonflowers at my old house and I really miss them.
