I was saving this picture to go with a future post about vintage buttons. But, when I heard the Studio Friday theme this week was Sparkle/Shine, I couldn’t think of a more perfect picture to use for it.
I bought these vintage rhinestone buttons at an antique mall near where I live around Christmastime. It was snowy outside and they looked just like sparkly snowflakes. I sent some to a friend who uses them in her work and tucked the rest away in a drawer. I‘ll use them some day but, for now, I’m content to just look at them every once in a while. And now you can, too!

Oh ! Those are stunning!! I am an antique-freak too. We frequent the antique malls and niches all around our area and even venture hours and hours to find quaint little shops! Thanks for sharing!!

Hey Janet! Yay for you - welcome to SF! You KNOW how much I LOVE Sparkly vintage rhinestone buttons! (Janet has been known to provide me with some!!) Those are beautiful!
Oh my those are stunning! I am in love with them. . .what a treasure! I can not believe how many rhinestones they packed into some of those and yet they still look so delicate.
How pretty! I love buttons...should look and see if I have any sparkly ones in my collection that I could pull out and just play with.
I have a weakness for vintage rhinestone items. I always buy them, even if they are broken. These are so beautiful!
I have a number of those same buttons. I have a vintage jar full of them. I rarely find actual applications for them beyond fondling. So far, that seems to be enough. The other buttons that engender this behavior are the heavy, glass ones and the large mother-of-pearl....
I gasped when I saw these beauties! Love 'em so much.
Oh, I remember my grandmother's vintage rhinestone broaches and pins. When she gave them to me, while I still was in High School, I pinned them all to my denim jean jacket. I still have the jacket...somewhere, with all of those rhinestone pins. I loved the cross between the rustic denim and the sparkle/shine. Hmmm...gotta find that jacket.
