mystery solved

Remember that cute laundry-themed fabric that I used for the cat pillow? The one that someone asked where I'd gotten it and I couldn't remember? This one...

laundry-themed fabric

Well, I was at Joann Fabrics on Saturday buying zippers for some little vintage fabric cosmetic bags I'm working on and I walked past the quilting cottons (which I always do because you just never know what's going to jump out and say "you must have me") and there it was. There wasn't a huge amount on the bolt but I told the cutting person I'd take 4 yards. And wouldn't you know it but there were exactly 4 yards left. Fate, I tell 'ya.

Unfortunately I can't tell you much more about it. On the selvedge are the words Our Family and the ten colored circles that show the number of colors printed and that's all. Usually when a fabric is manufactured exclusively for Joann it will say so, and this didn't, so I don't know. No other colorways either. OK, maybe we haven't solved this mystery after all.

That fabric is sooo cute! I was wondering where you got it. I know my Jo-Ann's doesn't have that fabric (I've recently perused their cottons)...bummer. Well, in the off chance you tire of it, I'll buy some to make a valance for my laundry room!

Hey Janet thanks so much for your comment, I know I meant to leave you a message saying I'd linked you but I'm not sure whether I did or not.. how did you find me?! However you did it I'm glad because I'd feel bad if I hadn't told you how great your stitching school is! Your instructions are even better than the ones in the book I just bought :)

Fibo, there's a site called Technorati that tracks blog links and rankings. So you can go in at any time and see who's talking about your blog. I have a link to it at the very bottom of the sidebar on the right.

I hadn't looked for a while but did this morning. Then I went around and thanked people for linking to me. It's a nice way to discover blogs that you might not have heard of before, too.

You have a very neat site...I love fabrics and I've done a little stitching in my day. I chose your site as my "creative site of the day" today(Friday). It's at: www.joyfulploys.piczo.com

Oh, I love that fabric. I'm going to zip over there tomorrow after my dental check-up and see if our Jo-Ann's has it. I have been looking for fabric like this for my laundry room for some time now. Thank you so much for sharing it.
