so fierce

Congratulations to Christian Siriano for his PR Season 4 win! I can't say that I loved his collection or thought his creations were very wearable (and even he admitted that they weren't), but it was creative in ways that the other designers collections were not. And he lives and works in a closet! I loved Rami's woven bodices but his color choices ...meh. Jillian's designs were nice and wearable but not so high-fashion.

But, I'm certainly no fashionista (I live in jeans) so what do I know? I actually spent yesterday at King of Prussia mall near Philadelphia and didn't buy a single article of clothing. Not that I didn't look but nothing spoke to me loud enough that I had to buy it. I had a nice lunch and bought some pretty poppy print stationery at Papyrus and a wren house at Smith & Hawken. How pathetic is that?

He was my favorite from the beginning....He has such "fierce" attitude it made the season so much fun....

I was glad Christian was more humble and less cocky at the end. He wasn't my favorite but his was the winning collection. Jillian, oh dear, how disappointed I was at her end result.

I prefer the shows where they're coming up with the design concept and slaving over the sewing machine!

A trip to the mall w/out clothing purchase - that's me too!

I'm glad he won as well. He was the most consistent throughout the competition and really seems the most like a cutting-edge designer. Fierce, indeed!

When I go to the mall I usually wind up with some paper goods as well :)

Also wanted to let you know that the drawing has been completed on the blog for the grand giveaway!! I am also holding a poll for another prize for the winning name. :) If you have a moment, stop on by and cast your vote!

I am happy for Christian and he did have "fabulous" outfits and I did like the dresses he designed. He was always my favorite with his fun disposition and "out of the box" thinking!..but I wish Jillian had a better outcome, too!

Sounds like me anymore- I love my jeans! Lately , nothing in the stores really grab my attention like they used to. Ever since I found this site, I am more interested in going to antique malls and scouting out vintage fabrics and handkerchiefs...I am 16 and I went with my mom,Patty, my little sister Laken (6) and my mom's friend Patti, ( I know ironic names?! They are so much a like and born a month apart) and Today we picked up an antique ice box, a Coca-Cola table and 4 chairs, an 1800s wooden table and chairs, and mulitple spoons and such... didn't find a wooden suitcase though! Some of the sites that are advertised on this website remind me of my home!!! This website has become my absolute favorite! Thanks so much!

I don't watch much TV but did watch Project Runway (along with the Jane Austen series on PBS). I think Christian is a hoot! I love Rami's drapery skills but agree his colors need some work but don't think that's an insurmountable problem--he'll do very well with his career. I wasn't at all fond of Jillian's work. I'm a jeans girl although I periodically try to consider my need to dress like a grown-up. It's kind of funny that I feel comfortable criticizing the designers on Project Runway when my own closet is so abyssmal in terms of style (I haven't any). So, I'll consider a new wardrobe for a bit and then end up back with my jeans.

I agree with you TOTALLY. I think, out of all three of them, Christian "needed" this the most. When they showed his pathetic little "studio" aka, closet, I felt so bad for him. I think he really deserved the win!
I thought it was hilarious when Tim said, "You won, can you believe it?" And Christian immediately responded with, "Yes!"

I do so understand about your shopping trip.....I was out over the weekend and I didn't buy a single thing. I'm 41,in good shape and all of the clothing is absolutely hidious to me. Shirts are too short, colors and prints too loud!!! I like fitted, tailored clothing and everything is either too sloppy or too tight! EEEKKK! What am I going to wear this summer?????
