A quick thank you to the 31 readers who commented and it's nice to see some new names among them. There's nothing like a contest to bring out the lurkers - hee!
When I got up this morning I put all the names on little scraps of paper and threw them into a hat (a vintage one of my great grandfathers actually). And we now have a winner! Congratulations to Danielle.
So, girl, email me your address (janet@primrosedesign.com) and I'll get your towel packaged up and on it's way.
And speaking of contests I'm thinking of doing one that's a little more complicated and one that involves the chance to show off all those embroidery skills you've picked up from my Stitch School posts. You'll actually have to send me a finished product but it will be something small and easy - like a bookmark perhaps. There would be three winners (chosen for quality of the work and creativity not randomly as I did today) and better embroidery-related prizes. I haven't worked out the details yet but it's been on my mind for a while. What do you all think? Would you be up to something like that?

what a wonderful idea for a contest!
and thank you for pulling my name! i guess i should thank your great grandfather for the lucky hat. ;-)
i look forward to reading more of your blog. Thanks! Danielle
Congrats Danielle...enjoy your dishtowel...
What a great idea for a contest. Maybe a small quilt block for charity?
Love the idea! Will it come with more Stitch School posts, too? Or have you taught us everything we'll ever need to know? :) Janet, your lessons are better than any book I've ever read. Thank You!
How did I miss this give a way? I guess I missed a few days this week, darn.
The embroidery contest sounds neat - I've been doing a lot of embroidery lately - and, I just purchased one of your patterns. Now, if I only had eight arms. lol.
BTW, I always use a red transfer pencil to then iron on patterns, but I get annoyed with trying to sharpen it all the time...is there a pen type tranfer pen that doesn't need sharpening? I can never get a fine line.
thanks!

that sounds fun! I want to go through your posts and finally learn how to embroider. Maybe this will finally get me motivated. lol

That was a wonderful idea for a contest. I myself have a small business for custom embroidery.
This was a great idea for a contest. I really like the information found here on your blog. I also have a blog. Come vist me at www.frankiedoodledandee.com or www.frankiedoodledandee.blogspot.com
Thanks for the great information!

Lucky Danielle!
I would love an embroidery contest!
Every single time I start a new embroidery project with a French knot involved I have to come back here and get the directions again - you would think I could remember.
How wonderful for Danielle that she won your giveway. I'm trying not to leave comments on giveaways because it worries me that the host (you, in this case) will think that's the only reason I comment. Does this make sense?
Anyway, I think your interactive embroidery project is a brilliant idea.
I have been wanting to try some new stitches, even create a sampler of stitches, but haven't had the push to do it. This sounds like just the push! Thanks for a great idea!
