My latest Ebay vintage fabric purchase...
Luckily this was a buy now auction so I didn't have to bid! It's a very finely woven combed cotton that feels silky (like rayon) and there's 5 yards of fabric so lots to work with. And it had the original label—06 0795 Lawn Party by Ameritex United Merchants. No date but there is a zip code so it's after 1963.
Wouldn't this make a fabulous dress—from a vintage pattern, of course?

that's very pretty!
oo-la-la! Do share what you create with this lovely print!
It is very pretty and yes, it looks like it would make a beautiful vintage style dress. When I was little I loved florals on black background...I think it was because I had a dress or two with that and must've loved my dress very much.
I just got back from the quilt store so I could have them look at my 'find of the century' from earlier this week...I found an old quilt at Goodwill for $4.99 and it appears to be authentic 1930s feedsack. It is hard for them to tell because so many of the prints they recognize as reproductions over the last 20 yrs., but they noted the handstitching and lots of time & work went into it and the fading in certain spots. They were drooling over it, in fact. I just love this quilt and won't part with it for anything - I am utterly amazed it was there and it must've been waiting for the right owner to appreciate it.
What a great find Tammy! With all the reproduction fabrics around these days it's sometimes hard to tell how old a quilt is, but the hand stitching is a dead giveaway—people just don't do that any more. I don't think you have a blog but I'd love to see some pictures of it :)
Ooooh...that IS gorgeous! I can see a very swirly sort of Christian Dior dress--the New Look--made with it. The colors of the flowers just pop!!!
